My daughter turned two last weekend. Since her toy box is overflowing with soft toys and she absolutely adores her teddies it made sense to have a teddy bear’s picnic. I even made a cake – I think I was the most surprised at how well it turned out!
It was a lovely day. It was great to have my Mum (or as she is known to her grandchildren as “The Granny”) there too. Me, being the stellar photographer I am, didn’t get one shot of the birthday girl with The Granny – insert face palm emoji here! But I’m giving myself a break for this as I was Mum to the birthday girl, chief caterer and decorator as well as photographer… did I mention I even made the cake??
The birthday girl had a blast – eating cake, playing with her cousins and opening all her pressies (lots of books and even some giant chalk for pavement art). The pictures below I just adore – it sums up perfectly just how these three are at this stage of their lives – in their own little toddler worlds!
Overall it was a lovely day, tears and all!
p.s. If you’re based in Melbourne and need a photographer for your child’s next birthday, contact me here – When I am playing the role of photographer (only) I am very good at getting all the pics, especially with “The Granny” and the likes 😉
